ABOUT CONFERENCE

Water is the most indispensable part of life on this planet. A famous quote in Hindi "Jal Hi Jeevan Hai" and “Jal Hai To Kal Hai” underscore the importance of water in life. It is noteworthy to mention that 771 Million people still find it difficult to access clean potable water despite of technical advancements and developments across the globe. It is imperative to find suitable ways and means to supplement potable water requirement by desalination of brackish water and sea water. On this backdrop, it won’t be out of place to highlight the need of an effective integral seamless strategy including water desalination, reject management, wastewater treatment, and its recycle & reuse.

Further, it is incumbent upon our policy makers and world academic to deliberate and give serious thinking on judicious use of today’s modern tools and technologies to harness optimal nexus between energy and water and to explore new avenues of alterative renewable energy resources for desalination and water treatment. Considering the importance of these problems, Government of India (GoI) has set up a desalination mission under DST, New Delhi for research and development paving the way for exploring different alternative technologies and viable options. GoI has also started the Jal Jeevan Mission for making water available through the tap in every house hold by ‘Har Ghar Jal Yogna’.

With an eye on the importance of this issue, MBM University, Indian Desalination Association (InDA) and DRDO Jodhpur in association with leading professionals, associations and industries from India and abroad, is organizing this International conference to deliberate and share new ideas and emerging advancements, and to propose appropriate synergistic techniques towards fulfilling the need of water in every part of the world.

E. Chemical Engineering program. The department doing its best to bring about excellence in academics achieved in the last 21 years and it is continuously striving to improve the quality of education to meet the needs of industries and to excel in academics and research.

ABOUT INDIAN DESALINATION ASSOCIATION (InDA)

InDA was established in the year 1991 with the main goal for the development and promotion of the appropriate use of desalination and water treatment technologies. Being a neutral association without any commercial bias, InDA is active in spreading awareness and providing an interface for enhanced interaction amongst the stakeholders namely the user sectors, industries, academicians, policy makers and program implementation agencies. InDA is an affiliate of International Desalination Association (IDA) and Asia Pacific Desalination Association (APDA) for policy advocacy and adopting world best practices. Each year InDA conducts conferences/ workshops/seminars/ webinars etc. to enhance the skills as well to interact with small & medium industries to enable them to mitigate the problems related to water & wastewater treatment, its management and related environmental issues.
